tis i, the old warrior of titan, Morlen
i have since moved on to the daily grind of family life comfortably settled in a small, quiet town called Enfield just outside of Hartford, Connecticut.
i have my 2 children, a wonderful "wife"(we not married yet), and now work for a rather distinguished company called Martin-Brower as a driver.
not too bad i must say, very good bebefit package and gross a little over 70k/year.
i estimate 1-2 years and ill be able to buy my first house. /cheer
i had come to the forums to just.....look. and i find myself saddend by lockes leaving. its like another of the past disappears.
idk, almost brings a tear to my eye when i think about it.
ya see, its like this
FFXI was a part of my life for one major reason
i was faced with the notion of never being able to drive a truck again. and if anyone here has ever had to do a career chg knows its a sucky postion to be in.
i clinged to FFXI, and EO and it was comfortable. was a way for me to escape the depressing tasks i had in life. the detachment was strong.
even tho i wasnt in EO very long, i had some very memorable times.
i felt more like my career in EO meant more to me then soloin throughout the world with other hapenstance friends and groups
yes, i miss being in EO. yes, i miss FFXI.
i just dont have the time for it anymore, and it sucks lol
all in all, it was 2+ years of life in a virtual world with real ppl. mostly good times, and of course, some bad times.
but nonetheless, some very memorable adventures.
the drive to 75
the spontaneous hunting parties for that elusive, expensive thing
dumping millions of gil into crafting
space management with mules
and of course, the crude and often times archaic and barbaric speech on the ls
i miss the ls, and the world
i miss hackmeat
and im ashamed of abandoning my quest for bravura
obsessed to the end for that great axe i was
i dont mean to get anyone down about this post, just wanted to say {Hello!} to everyone
lol, they were some awesome adventures
