I haven't been on since I obtained the Thief's Knife. I was the only person wearing the Edea's Orphans pearl the Saturday morning it dropped.
A few days earlier I asked to join Mixia's linkshell but was told I needed to fill out an application. I applied to Synergy for Limbus, received a bunch of yes votes but they never followed up.
Frankly I wasn't even sure I wanted to do Limbus. I mean, Homam Armor would be nice, but what would I have used it for? People don't merit with THF. So there was really no point spending two evenings a week for god knows how long to get items I'd rarely use.
Earlier I had inquired about Legacy. Greatsagan, Jaktripper, Daeka, and Kamanao, former LS mates from ED or ITV, said they would sponsor me, but since I have no desire / no time to play 40 hours a week I'd just be leaching in an end-game LS.
I heard about people going to that EOOTDKOS LS or whatever, but the names of several of the members wreaked of betrayal. While I hold no personal grudges against anyone, I could not, in good conscience, join an LS comprised of members who left EO for greener pastures during the KoS incident.
Bottom line is there is nothing left I'd like to accomplish in FFXI. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith. Thanks to EO, I was able to realize all my goals in Final Fantasy XI.
Now, it is time for me to realize new goals. In a new game. While continuing to be a part of Edea's Orphans. My small audience here knows what that means, and where to find me.
