Btw, has anyone seen a confirmed drop from the BCNM yet? Im bored and browsing forums and havent seen any confirmed drops.
Edit: Have seen a couple SS now, but horrible horrible drop rates being reported.

I saw a screen shot of a JP group getting 2 in one run, if that makes you feel any worse.
SE specifically said they weren't going to increase drop rate, just make it an easier chance to get it. Before he dropped once every 30-45 days on average. so 1/40 ish pops, does that mean he'll drop 1/40ish BC's or still days? ;-)

Well if you count all the people posting 0/5, 0/6, 0/10 on the various forums, its dropping like 1/500 or even 1/1000 bc's....

Honestly, we don't really know how the drop rate actually works for this game. We don't know if it's a fixed percentage that is directly modified by variables like treasure hunter and moon phase, a randomized percentage within a specific range, and whether it's tallied collectively or inidividually for items like NM drops. SE is so freaking vague about the mechanics in their game that we can't be wholly sure.
We think it's a fixed rate for each item modified by various conditions (none of which we can pinpoint with certainty, but it would be safe to assume from data collected that TH and moon phase have a noticeable effect on drop rates for most items,) and if that's the case, taking a census of individual drop rates from like 20 different people doesn't mean anything when they've only tried it 5 or even 10 times.
In order to get an accurate picture of the drop rate, we'll need hundreds of people trying it hundreds of times. So... we're not going to know what the drop rate is for quite awhile; not until someone actually parses individual testimonies several months down the road (assuming all testimonies are accurate, which, of course, they aren't.)
The real kicker here is that SE was so damn vague about how exactly they planned on modifying/changing the drop rate. They said it would not affect the drop rate, but would make it easier to obtain (via BCNM, which isn't in direct competition against other campers.) So the real question to ask here is: has the drop rate been lowered even further in order to maintain roughly the same number of kraken clubs that were dropped from LoO, or is it the same rate, but now multiple people can "camp" it for an actual shot at once? If this is the case, we'll see an influx in Krakens, and the current number on the server will rise sharply over several months; even if the drop rate is crappy.
We just have to wait and see. :/

If a Club drops on my seals someone else can lot it. I haven't been very active as of late. But it would still be cool to try the BC and maybe get someone a club. I must have 300 seals on Markus... |

i tried with nin nin rdm...we one 1 time out of 3
see the stupid kraken hundred fists...but as u begin to tank it down his tenticales fall off, and his attack become slower...how ever he starts to spam more tp skills....the good thing is that he spams ink jet the most, he starts to use regeneration towards teh end...so rdm is a must..good for healing and dispel....pld is best tank....basically rdm should spam heal pld till sum tenticles fall off...after convert....sleep II, then rest to regan mp...prime set up is pld, rdm, DD....of course blm burn is mosts efficient...i cant spell for my life...but anyway yea that's my 2 cents on the bc... temp pld, me rdm, and DD....hit me up on BCNM 60 to set sumthing up...anyone who's interested

ok im like still waiting to be aproved for the linkshell but anyway i have a Lv 60 BC orb if anyone wants to do this with me. (accidently got the 60 orb >.< ) btw im a Lv 61 SMN if that would be a good DD
